LIESBETH FRANX - SCHAAP 
 
Liesbeth Franx - Schaap studied law at Leiden University. After her graduation she worked as a lawyer at the law firm Nauta Dutilh from 1987 to 1997, first in Amsterdam and subsequently in Rotterdam. From 1992 onwards, she has specialised in employment law. After having worked as a deputy judge for some time, Liesbeth worked at the Amsterdam office of the international law firm Allen & Overy from 2000 to 2008.

Liesbeth published several articles in various renowned (employment law) journals and regularly teaches at the VU Law Academy on employment litigation. She is co-author of the chapter on temporary agency work of the Kluwer loose-leaf commentary on employment legislation (Kluwer losbladige Arbeidsovereenkomst). Moreover, she offers in-company training courses to (HR) managing directors and HR managers.

ARLETTE PUTKER - BLEES 
 
Arlette Putker studied law at the University of Amsterdam. Subsequently, she followed the full-time post-doctorate education programme at the Grotius Academy. 
 
From 1990 to 1993, she worked as a lawyer at the firm Buruma Maris. In the next fifteen years she focussed completely on employment law in the practice group Employment, Tax & Benefits at Stibbe in Amsterdam. Arlette is one of the founders of L & A lawyers and is a member of the Employment Law Associaton (VvA), the Association Employment Law Lawyers the Netherlands (VAAN) and the European Lawyers Association (EELA).
 
Arlette regulary publishes in specialist journals about privacy aspects of employment law and she teaches employment law and privacy law at renowned educational institutes, such as Permeduc (www.permeduc.nl). In addition, she offers in-company training courses to (HR) managing directors and HR managers of middle-sized and large enterprises.
 
Her profile as a lawyer is characterised by a vigorous and dynamic approach in which high-quality expertise is combined with a practical and problem-solving capacity.

YVETTE DISSEL 
 
Yvette Dissel studied Dutch law at the University of Amsterdam and European Legal Studies at the University of Kent (England). After her studies, she followed the postgraduate Grotius Employment Law specialist course.

From 1996 to 2012 Yvette worked as a lawyer at Boekel De Nerée in Amsterdam, where she specialised entirely in employment law from 1997 onwards. On 1 January 2012 she joined L&A as a partner.

Yvette manages a general employment law practice, and has broad litigation and consultancy experience in the fields of e.g. employment conditions, occupational disability, collective and individual dismissal law, transfers of undertakings and (international) secondment. She also advises companies on aspects of the Works Council Act. She has special expertise in the financial sector and in consultancy at an international level.

Yvette regularly publishes on a wide range of employment law subjects in e.g. the ArbeidsRecht journal. She also gives courses (SDU), (in-house) seminars and workshops for employers, and has organised several webinars for the Employment Law Alliance (ELA), an international network.

Yvette is a member of the Amsterdam Employment Lawyers Association (VAAA), the Dutch Employment Lawyers Association (VAAN) and the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA).

DINA DUIJM 
 
Dina Duijm studied Dutch law at the University of Utrecht. She obtained a Master of Comparative Jurisprudence degree at the New York University School of Law. As part of her specialisation she followed the Postgraduate Employment Law Course (PALA), organised by the University of Amsterdam and the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. Dina also followed the postgraduate ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) specialist course and is a mediator.

Dina worked in trade and industry for many years, for the Elsevier Group for a long time, for instance. She also worked for the United Nations in New York. She was admitted to the Dutch Bar in 1994, after which she worked for ten years at Allen & Overy, an international law firm (previously named Loeff Claeys Verbeke), in the Employment Law practice group.

Since 2005 she has performed assignments as a self-employed lawyer for various companies and organisations on a project basis or as an interim, in e.g. the airline industry, the healthcare and food sector, and the legal sector.

Most of Dina’s practical experience involves consultancy in the field of reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions, employment conditions and their harmonisation, and collective wage talks. She has frequently taken part in processes involving trade unions and works councils.

Dina’s many years of experience in trade and industry have given her a practical and target-oriented outlook.

Dina is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association (VvA) and the Association of Legal Interim Professionals (VVJIP).
