Arlette has a long service record in the commercial employment law practice in the top sector, serving a wide range of mainly corporate clients. She specialises in individual and collective dismissal law, reorganisations, employment law proceedings and privacy in the workplace.
Arlette Putker-Blees studied Dutch Law at the University of Amsterdam. She has furthermore completed the full-time postgraduate course at Grotius Academie. Arlette worked as a lawyer at Buruma Maris from 1990 to 1993, after which she focused entirely on employment law in the Employment, Tax & Benefits practice group at Stibbe in Amsterdam for a period of 15 years. Her specialist areas are individual and collective dismissal law, reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions, and employment conditions and their harmonisation. Arlette regularly publishes on a wide range of employment law issues and specialises in workplace related privacy law (e.g. fraud cases and pre-employment screening).
Arlette is a member of the Employment Law Association (VvA), the Amsterdam Employment Lawyers Association (VAAA) and the Dutch Employment Lawyers Association (VAAN). She publishes in professional journals on e.g. the privacy aspects of employment law and lectures on employment law and privacy law at reputable training institutes, such as OSR, Permeduc, VU Law Academy and ESAA Executive Programs (Erasmus University Rotterdam). She furthermore gives in-company training courses to HR and other directors and managers.
Her profile as a lawyer is characterised by an energetic and effective approach, combining high-quality expertise with strong problem-solving skills. Arlette is one of the founders of L&A advocaten.
