Monica graduated cum laude from the Master’s in Labour Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
During her study, Monica gained extensive experience as external court clerk at the Rechtbank Midden-Nederland (Court of Central Netherlands). In addition, she was employed as legal assistant with a trade union organisation and as student assistant for the Legal Profession Chair at the University of Amsterdam.
Monica gained administrative-law experience with the Stichting Amsterdamse Juridische Bedrijvendag (Amsterdam Legal Company Day Foundation) and the lustrum (five-yearly anniversary) committee of the study association QBDBD.
In addition to her passion for the legal profession, Monica gains great satisfaction from teaching. She has arranged examination training courses for fellow students and taught on the rule of law at secondary schools and senior secondary vocational education institutions on behalf of the Dutch Public Prosecution Service.
